The MHS Training Center offers a wide selection of training classes. Classes offered range from Puppy Kindergarten, Everyday Canine Essentials to competition levels of obedience, agility and rally obedience. MHS also offers many fun 1-hour specialty classes with you and your companion in mind. Our class curriculum are focused on teaching life skills to your dog through the use of reward-based methods. Using proven humane training solutions creates a strong human-canine relationship based on mutual respect and understanding. See our full listing of classes.
Our friendly and experienced training staff enjoy teaching people and their canine companions. Our staff continues to expand their working knowledge of dog training and learning by attending seminars, trials and classes. Many of our instructors are Certified Professional Dog Trainers. Our training facility is an indoor 4,000 square foot room with Top Dog flooring, which is a non-slip, cushioned flooring. Agility dogs won't slip on the floor and delicate joints are protected. The MHS Training Center frequently hosts educational seminars aimed at the pet owner and continuing education for professionals, APDT Rally Obedience trials and occasional guest instructors to the Monadnock Region. Follow this link to our seminar page for an up-to-date listing.
Are you experiencing a behavior problem with your canine companion? We have an Associate Certified Applied Animal Behaviorist (CAAB) on staff who can help you resolve or significantly reduce unwanted behavioral problems with your pet. CAABs are uniquely qualified with both academic education and extensive hands-on professional experience to work with you to find an effective, humane problem-resolution plan for your pet and family. Our Animal Supply store, located in the MHS Adoption Center, carries a wide variety of training treats, bait bags, brain toys, high quality food and much more! More importantly, all proceeds from every purchase, as well as your class registration, go directly to help support the thousands of homeless animals MHS cares for annually.
